Although the concept of the quality is not new, it is a major pre-occupation in most manufacturing organizations today.
It has been a challenging task to measure the quality of the services combining technical and system aspects. However our integrated team efforts from across 33 countries and execution of various quality models in the service sector enabled us to evolve and define the quality of service in 1999. A probable first in the wind power sector.
Our service quality module is based on the technical requirements of the wind farms and comprehensive expectations of individual customers across 33 nations; matured over 25 years of sustainable performance.
Customer requirements are built into the system at the design stage, and are being transformed to obtain the highest degree of compliance which is determined herein by the Services Installation Quality Assurance (SIQA) module.
Quality is central to the entire spectrum of site operations at Enercon (India) Limited:

Vision Statement
- Integrated Quality Assurance System for all site/field operations:
Infrastructure development (Sub-station, transmission network, roads, foundation)
PRI (WEC installation & Commissioning)
Service (WEC and evacuation infrastructure)
- Competency development of site personnel, including contractual personnel and allied partners.
- Supporting technical issues evaluation, resolution, trials, implementation and effectiveness monitoring.
- Analysis and recommendation for optimization of performance of wind-farms
- Facilitating site process optimization and improvement using quality tools like PFMEA, Quality tools, MTTF, MTBF for the higher reliability levels.

SIQA Roles & Responsibilities
Assuring the compliance of the operations and maintenance requirements of existing turbines wind farms, to obtain technical compliances and reliability levels, to raise the Enercon (India) Limited benchmark, is the over-riding commitment of the quality team.
To this end, the team is committed to:
- Measure, analyze and improve the degree of performance of individual WEC installed in the wind farm; on an ongoing basis to raise Enercon (India) Limited standards.
- Assure the highest degree of compliance at the new wind farms being developed to facilitate the customer in building excellent wind farm.
- Enhance the skill level of the existing and new Energites, based on the degree of compliances and risk analysis models.
- Support field teams by means of technical documentations and manuals to have uniformity across the executions areas by means of integrated database systems.
- Evaluate and analyze the scope for continual improvements, based on severity and risk based models of gap analysis.
Major competency and advance tools/software used for inspection/analysis:
- Lube test: on situ
- Thermograph
- Online Database managements system for technical/compliance reports
