Measuring the wind sounds so simple, but the level of complexity and application of science and engineering is so high that it should be surprising to many. This is the very genesis which decides the correctness and accuracy of all further calculations/decisions.

One has to be extremely careful while deciding
- The location of the measuring mast
- Parameters that you want to measure
- Type / make of sensors used
- Mounting of each sensor
- Height at which each parameter is measured
- Periodic check and up-keep of the measurement set-up
- Data management
- Maintaining essential records

The basic guidelines / rules for the above can be found in the IEC (International Electro-technical Commission) Standards. WRD has a dedicated team of engineers and technicians that ensure that all measurements are of high quality standards and as per international practice to the extent possible.
